MOMENTS WITH GOD

Through the years I have learned to "keep looking up" when sorrow or heartache comes to knock on my door. The following photos are my "Moments with God." Since we all share the sky above, God has given you these moments to share with Him, too. I believe it is His way to show all of us that He continues to be there the times our hearts are hurting. Anytime you are suffering after the loss of a loved one or any other heartache, stop what you are doing and look up. Let God show you that He is there with you. It may be a morning sunrise or evening sunset or maybe a bird singing a song for you. Watch for the subtle messages God sends to you and for you. God loves you. Remember to "keep looking up!"

God has blessed me with 3 precious grand-daughters. Matlyn, age 8, who is the oldest showed me the below house that she made herself. She was in her toy room one day behind closed doors only to design her own house. I am so amazed that someone so young could come up with the idea of how to use various cardboard boxes to design the rooms and layout of this home. She is always asking questions and seeking to learn new things. God has big plans for her and I can't wait to see what they are.

The above God Moment reminds me of how the simplest thing in life can leave such an impression. I think it points out that you can find happiness in the little things. I'm not sure how long it took her to work on this or even come up with the plan, but she had her mind on something to make and she kept at it. When God built our world he, too, was pleased with his creation. I wonder if Matlyn had the same feeling of proudness when she made her own type of creation. As you can see, I sure do!

This last weekend I had the pleasure of going to Duluth with my daughter and grand-daughter for my birthday weekend. We went to 7 Bridges. This was one of those bridges we saw there. The sky was so cloudy so the picture isn't as bright as some, but I love the photo. My God Moment was just to stand beside the people I love, listen to the waterfalls shown in the middle of the photo and be so humble for this blessing. I pray you will take the time to share quiet moments with the people you love.

Every 2 or 3 months I will add more God Moments I have experienced. I hope they will help you to stop and have your own Moments with God. We all have them. They are the special times you share with God. It could be a morning sunrise or even a bird singing you a rise and shine melody.
