SHARING MOMENTS WITH GOD

Through the years I have learned to keep looking up when heartache comes to knock on my door. The photos on this page are my own Moments with God. Since we all share the sky above, God has given you these moments to share with Him, too. I believe it is His way to show all of us that He continues to be there the times our hearts are hurting. Any time you are suffering after the death of a loved one or any other heartache, stop what you are doing and look up. Let God show you that He is there with you. It may be a beautiful morning sunrise or an evening sunset or may even be a bird singing it’s song of praise to God. Watch for the subtle messages God sends to you and for you. God loves you and remember - Keep looking up!
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:24
When you are alone and step outside either in summer or any of the seasons, what do you see? When you look up at the sky at night, do you see all the stars that twinkle bright or have you ever seen the moon's reflection on a lake? When was the last time you felt a cool breeze on your face or let the wind blow through your hair and not care that it got all messed up?
There are so many blessings God sends us each day that we may miss because we are too busy with life. I know the pain of loss and the stress of living this life, but I have learned that when I stop and look up, I see things differently. Every time I go through anything hard, I watch for the signs God will send me to show he is still there.
This picture reminds me of the road we take through life with a turn up ahead. Then I saw the trees as if they are stretching out to other trees and yet reaching up to God. I find so much beauty in the photo and the large white billowing clouds made me feel at peace. It's my own precious moment I shared with God.
Have you ever had anyone call you unexpectedly. There are no coincidences. When things happen, they are God saying hello!!! If you stop and look back over the last few days, what moments may you have missed?
I was amazed when I saw this duck in the water years ago. The head was like velvet and the colors so exact. I hate to admit it but I wondered if ducks knew how pretty they are! Then I laughed to myself and thought how petty I used to be. I was always so concerned of what my hair looked like. Somewhere I read - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That sure is the truth, isn't it? Sometimes our Moments with God can show us things about ourselves.
KEEP LOOKING UP!!!
When I came out of work one night I saw this beautiful sky with the flags standing at attention. All the little bumps in the sky reminded me of all the soldiers peeking down from heaven to honor the flag. It was such a great Moment with God that I was priviledged to share. What do you see when you look at the picture? We all see things differently. There is no right or wrong. Isn't God great?
My Moment with God came at a time I really needed one. I was going through a very trying time for a few months and it felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. I decided to go outside and this is what I saw. As I stared at the sky it reminded me of my life right at that moment. The storms clouds were the darkness surrounding me, but in the distance I saw the brilliant Light of our Lord. It was almost like God was there behind the clouds even though I couldn't see him. The main thing it taught me is when the world is dark around you, God is always there... even when we may not see him.
